Over 30 years of experience in Human Resources including HR strategic transformation and change management, establishing HR infrastructures and implementation of internal and external learning/development and programs.
In 2016, Moutaz was seconded to Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare coming from Saudi Aramco joint venture YASREF: Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company Ltd., which is another joint venture between Saudi Aramco and China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec); at YASREF he held the position of Vice President, Industrial Relations.
As CHRO of JHAH Moutaz has applied his experience to meeting the challenge of transitioning 3000 healthcare employees from Saudi Aramco to JHAH while in parallel developing and refining plans to attract, hire, develop, and retain the very best talent for JHAH.
Crucially, under his guidance employee engagement within JHAH has increased year-on-year from 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 according to Press Ganey survey scores.
In his previous roles within Saudi Aramco, Moutaz was secondended to King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) as the Interim Vice President of Human Resources was responsible for establishing the HR infrastructure and setting up the staffing and organizational development strategy.
Moutaz has also held key leadership positions related to Training and Development, Human Resources and Industrial Relations and Services within Saudi Aramco, its subsidiaries and Joint Ventures.
Moutaz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He has undertaken leadership and executive development programs from Columbia, Rice, and Georgetown Universities in the US, and completed the University of Minnesota's HR Certification program.
