Profile

Paul Young is a multi-award-winning specialist in Strategic Learning and Development, Leadership Development, and Organisational Development, with experience working within the Emergency Services, Healthcare, Further and Higher Education, and elite sport sectors. Paul has over 8 years of operational frontline and learning and development experience in the UK Fire and Rescue Service, more than 8 years in the UK National Health Service (NHS) and has worked as a University Degree Programme Director; developing over 35,000 leaders and teams across the UK and UAE.

As Associate Vice President for Learning and Development at NMC Healthcare, Paul is responsible for development of a comprehensive learning and talent development strategy that supports workforce excellence within a dynamic healthcare environment. This includes Leadership Development, Professional Development, UAE National Development, e-learning strategies, and succession planning at one of the UAE’s largest private healthcare providers.

Paul holds a PhD in Organisational Psychology and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). He also holds globally recognised qualifications in teaching, coaching, psychometric testing, and quality improvement; and has a number of peer-reviewed publications. Specialist skills include strategic optimisation of training environments, leadership development, innovative curriculum design, organisational training needs analysis, and implementation of practical strategies that empower individuals and teams to maximise their potential in work environments.
