Mr. Ajay Garg is the founder and Managing Director of Equirus Capital (www.equirus.com). He is an accomplished investment banker and has a strong track record for spotting the right investment trends in India. In a span of more than 26 years, Ajay has created the right track-record to be top deal maker and now founder of one the most respected investment bank. Equirus was founded in 2007, with initial investments from Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. Equirus, now has strong presence in advisory, capital markets (equity and debt), institutional equities, wealth management, PMS and insurance broking. Today it has 265 plus people with offices across 29 locations in India. In year 2018 Federal Bank has taken 20% stake in Equirus and has helped transition the boutique practice to become an institution. Prior to Equirus, Ajay was associated as founder of another boutique iBank. Ajay used to head the private equity advisory desk at DSP Merrill Lynch, where he worked for 6 years after completing his MBA from IIM - Ahmedabad in 1996. Ajay also holds a degree in Engineering
