Mike joined Citi in April 2023 where he ran Custody Product before taking over as the head of Fund Services in December 2023. Mike manages the five business lines (Accounting & Administration, Middle Office, ETFs, Transfer Agency and Depositary) that has an AUA of over $2.3 trillion.
With responsibility for the strategy and execution of the core product across the globe, Mike works closely with the sales, Client Executives, technology and operations teams to deliver the funds business in a controlled scalable operating manner. Mike has significant expertise in driving strategic change with financial, client and operating discipline at the heart of everything he does. Mike is a recognized industry leader in post trade, fund services, capital markets and custody.
Mike joined Citi from Ocorian a private equity backed independent administrator where he was a member of the management board. Mike undertook a whole business transformation restructuring the business into five business units, drove financial market outperformance though a clear technology and operating vision. Prior to this Mike spent four years a J.P. Morgan, where he was the head of Global Custody helping to transform the business with a focus on asset managers and asset owners enjoying recognized industry leadership of the custody product.
Prior to J.P. Morgan, Mike worked at Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust spending a number of years in Asia (Hong Kong), Middle East (UAE) and in the U.K. in various roles, including the Global Head of Fund Services, the Head of Transaction Banking for the U.K. and the Head of Transaction Banking for the Middle East.
