David Steinberg is the Chief Business Officer of Formation Bio, where he leads business development and strategy around in- and out-licensing activities. Previously, he was a General Partner at Longwood Fund, a leading VC firm, and co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer at PureTech Health, one of the biotech industry’s pioneering hub-and-spoke drug development companies. He’s served as founder and/or CEO of multiple NASDAQ listed companies, including Pyxis Oncology (NASDAQ:PYXS) and Vor Biopharma (NASDAQ: VOR) and several private venture-backed biotechs including Glyph Biosciences (now Seaport Therapeutics), Vedanta Biosciences, Photys Therapeutics, and Be Biopharma. He previously worked in strategy consulting at Boston Consulting Group and Vertex Partners, and in R&D at P&G Pharmaceuticals.
