Mr. Lichtinger is an industry executive with a career that spans more than 40 years in biotechnology. He currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Starton Therapeutics, a Phase 2 clinical-stage biotech company using proprietary delivery technology to improve FDA-approved therapies and deliver superior outcomes. Throughout his career, he has built a proven track record of scaling businesses, executing strategic alliances, and building commercial and R&D capabilities. He is the former President of Global Primary Care and former President of Europe at Pfizer Inc with 16 years of experience. His executive leadership also includes tenures as President and CEO of both Asterias Biotherapeutics and Optimer Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Lichtinger holds an MBA degree from Wharton School of Business and an engineering degree from the National University of Mexico.
