Stephanie Marrus is the Founder of Redwood Innovation Advisors, a solo consulting practice focused on entrepreneurship, strategy, fractional business management and business development. Prior to starting Redwood, she was Managing Director, Entrepreneurship, University of California San Francisco (UCSF), the leading scientific research and medical graduate school in the US. She built the Entrepreneurship Program for 14 years to translate science and medicine into commercial startups, informing thousands in Silicon Valley and globally. Her efforts resulted in UCSF becoming the Silicon Valley hub for life sciences/healthcare entrepreneurship.
During her business career, she has worked with over 1500 companies in science and technology as member of the management team, business consultant or mentor. Many of these companies had their technological roots at Berkeley, Stanford, UCSF, MIT and Harvard. She has had roles as CEO, COO and CBO for public and private venture capital backed companies, led partnering and M&A transactions, headed corporate development, strategy, marketing, communications and investor relations.
