ODIN (the Open Discovery Innovation Network) is a collaboration and funding platform supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and Lundbeck Foundation. ODIN connects Danish academics with industry, academia and hospitals worldwide to co-create need-driven research with translational potential. Up to DKK 56 million is available for open, precompetitive projects in drug discovery and diagnostics in 2026. ODIN funds academic and non-profit partners, while companies contribute in-kind. For companies, ODIN offers a low-barrier opportunity to access specialist expertise, clinical samples, and research infrastructure. Openly shared results can be the basis for later proprietary R&D, without the cost of generating data in-house.
