Mario Lefebvre

Mario Lefebvre was appointed Regional Manager (Economic Analysis) at the Bank of Canada's Quebec Office in July 2020. In this role, he leads the Bank's Business Outlook Survey. Mr. Lefebvre is also responsible for communicating the Bank's messages to various audiences. Mr. Lefebvre began his career as an economist in 1991 at the Bank of Canada, where he worked in both the Research Department and the International Relations Department. In 1998, he joined the Conference Board of Canada, where he remained for 16 years. He was also Director of the Conference Board's Centre for Municipal Studies from 2002 to 2013. In January 2014, he joined the Urban Development Institute of Quebec, where he was President and CEO for two years, before joining Ivanhoe Cambridge in January 2016, where he led the research team until June 2020.
