Sara is Assistant General Counsel, Corporate Functions for Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. Sara serves as the primary legal contact for the Information Technology and Compliance functions, with responsibility to provide legal support to business customers on legal and regulatory issues impacting Global Corporate Functions.
Sara’s background includes positions in the corporate legal departments of global pharmaceutical companies, leading M&A deals for mid-market enterprises at a sophisticated mid-size firm, and at a boutique law firm concentrating in the representation of franchisees. Sara’s years of litigating business disputes and commercial matters both in Federal and State courts, including extensive appellate practice, adds a unique perspective to her corporate practice. In serving her clients, Sara draws upon her pre-legal career experience as a results-driven marketing and communications executive. In that capacity, she managed high-profile public relations campaigns and product launches in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, including overseeing the regulatory and promotional review process of marketing materials.
Sara is active in Daiichi Sankyo, Inc.’s Business Employee Resource Groups, in organizations such as the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, and speaks on healthcare topics at industry-wide events. Sara graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. in Political Communication and earned her law degree from Seton Hall Law School.
