Matthew has over 15 years of experience in the US Private Placement market. Matthew joined SMBC in 2022 and since mid-2023, has held the role of head of the Debt Private Placement team. Prior to SMBC, Matthew spent four years on the US Private Placement team of Scotiabank in New York, working across several industries and geographies including corporate, utility and infrastructure clients throughout North and South America, the UK and Australia.

Prior to Scotiabank, Matthew spent over 10 years at BNP Paribas in both public and private capital markets roles, with a focus on US Private Placements in the energy, utility and project finance space.

Matt received a B.A. in Finance from the Boston College Carroll School of Management.
