Since 1997, Michael Brooks has been the Chief Executive Officer of REALPAC, a senior Canadian trade association for large public and institutional investment real estate companies. As CEO, Michael has represented the industry in government relations, public relations and standard setting. He has also been instrumental in initiating key policy changes, including property tax reform in multiple provinces, the development of REITs and associated legislation, and telecom deregulation and building access. In addition to his role at REALPAC, Michael is the Author and Editor of the textbook “Canadian Commercial Real Estate: Theory, Practice, Strategy” and a former Adjunct Professor and Executive in Residence at Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management.
