Adrian is the Global Head, Operational, Technology & Cyber Risk at Standard Chartered Bank. He is also Chairperson of the Group Non-Financial Risk Committee and is responsible for the overall second line of defence responsibilities relating to operational, technology & cyber risk. Adrian is currently based in the UK.
Adrian was formerly from Deutsche Bank (“DB”) where he was the Group Head of Non-Financial Risk overseeing technology, cyber, resilience and operational risks. Additionally, he oversaw reputational risk and the second line product governance function. Adrian maintained a strong emphasis on industry emerging risks across artificial intelligence (“AI”), digital assets and environment, social & governance (“ESG”) in particular.
He spent 18 years at DB across a range of roles that started in the Corporate and Investment Bank, spanning complex change leadership, financial risk, capital management and business-line Chief Operating Officer roles before moving into the Chief Risk Officer function.
Adrian holds a Master’s degree in Finance and is a Bachelor of Law in Business & Finance Law and at the weekends can be found writing his blog at “therealityof.ai”.
