Bal is a Partner in PwC’s Financial Services Practice, specialising in Non-Financial Risk (NFR) and Compliance across both the first and second lines of defence. With extensive experience in the financial services industry, he has successfully led numerous large-scale, global transformation programmes focused on redesigning and implementing NFR and Compliance operating models.

Bal has significant experience working with key regulatory bodies across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, US, and Europe. This exposure enables him to bring a pragmatic and globally informed perspective to regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with evolving supervisory expectations.

Bal also leads PwC UK’s strategy in integrating Generative AI and emerging technologies, into key aspects of the Regulatory Change lifecycle. Through his leadership, Bal has helped clients achieve measurable improvements in governance, control effectiveness, and regulatory engagement.
