Bart Rikkert is Lead model validator at AEGON Group since 2012.

As part of his role he oversees and organizes validations for Aegon NL and several other Country Units within Aegon. Mr Rikkert is also responsible for the aggregated validation opinion of the Internal Solvency II Model in totality (on Group level and for local regulated entities such as Aegon NL and Aegon UK).

Before Aegon Mr Rikkert was the head of the model validation department of SNS REAAL (at the time a Dutch Bank/insurance company) and facilitated the introduction of Basel II / III and the start of Solvency II.
