Bert is a member of the Group Compliance Senior Management Team at Danske Bank.

As Head of Large Corporates & Institutions Compliance & Sustainability, he leads both

• the business compliance teams covering wholesale banking, markets and asset management as well as
• the bank wide compliance teams covering MAR surveillance, conflict management and sustainability.

He is a legal, compliance and regulatory affairs leader with more than 20 years’ experience in

• financial services (Barclays, Morgan Stanley, CME Group, Danske Bank) and
• legal services (Clifford Chance).

He qualified as a solicitor In England and Wales (since 2011) and has past experience as avocat/advocaat at the Brussels’ bar.

He has a Master in Law from the University of Leuven (Belgium) (1995), a D.E.A. en droit from the Université de Paris I – Sorbonne (1996) and a Post-Graduate in International Politics from the Universite libre de Bruxelles (2006).
