Caroline Liesegang is the Head of Capital & Risk Management, Sustainable Finance and Research at AFME since March 2022. Before joining AFME, Caroline was Commerzbank’s UK Chief Risk Officer from 2018 and held a global management role for stress testing and scenario analytics. Prior to Commerzbank, Caroline was a Deputy Head of Division at the ECB’s Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) leading quantitative and systemic risk analysis for indirectly supervised firms. Until 2014, Caroline worked for the EBA as Senior Stress Testing Expert coordinating the EU-wide stress test. Caroline started her career at Deutsche Bundesbank in 2003 holding positions in on-site and off-site banking supervision, micro-and macroprudential analysis and research. She represented Deutsche Bundesbank in international working groups among others as member of the research task force of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision and CEBS/EBA task forces. Caroline holds a BSc in Business and Finance from Deutsche Bundesbank University and a MSc in International Economics and Economic Policy from Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany.
