David Butcher

David Butcher is the Global head for Data, AI & Cloud Technology GRC Manager at Investec Group. David's background is IT audit (Financial Statements, Regulatory Reports, Attestation Reports) and he moved to the role in Investec in early 2022. His responsibilities are to provide active risk management and governance to the Data and AI practises at Investec while making continual improvements to the processes to ensure that risks derived from the latest technology developments are considered, in addition to risk management and governance of the cloud platforms.

David holds a PhD in Physics from Imperial College, is a Chartered Accountant and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
