David Menezes is the Chief Risk Officer at Peak Re, a global reinsurer headquartered in Hong Kong. With over two decades of experience in the insurance and reinsurance sector, David brings extensive expertise in risk management, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk oversight.

Since joining Peak Re in 2016, he has held pivotal roles including Deputy CRO and Chief Reserving Actuary, before his promotion to CRO in 2022. David is responsible for overseeing the company’s risk management, compliance, and legal functions, ensuring robust governance and safeguarding financial strength. A Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, he actively contributes to industry working groups on IFRS17 implementation and risk-based capital standards. David’s leadership fosters a strong risk-oriented culture at Peak Re, driving strategic risk initiatives and reinforcing the firm’s position in global markets.
