Dimitris Bartzilas is a seasoned leader in risk management, with over 20 years of experience driving risk strategy and innovation at global financial institutions. As a Managing Director of Non-Financial Risk at Credit Suisse until 2024, Dimitris focused on advancing Enterprise and Non-Financial Risk principles through the development of award-winning methodologies and tools. He is recognised for driving innovation, including the industry’s first USD 700m Operational Risk bond and creating leading-edge non-financial risk analytics platforms.

In addition to his leadership roles at Credit Suisse, Dimitris has served on the Board of Directors of ORX, the largest global operational risk association, where he played a key role in shaping industry standards. Prior to Credit Suisse, he held senior risk analytics roles at Lloyds Bank. He holds an MSc in Risk & Financial Mathematics from Brunel University.
