Dr. Erwann Michel-Kerjan is an authority on large-scale risk management, financing and resilience. He is a Partner with McKinsey and Company and the co-global leader of McKinsey's risk in insurance.

He brings 20 years of experience defining and executing value creation strategies and at-scale impact to clients on topics of transformation, resilience, and profitable growth. He is passionate about developing and applying digital innovations to improve business competitiveness and public sector service.

Before joining McKinsey at a Partner nearly a decade ago, Erwann held senior positions at leading corporations, not-for-profits, international organizations, and academic institutions in the Americas and Europe. He was Executive Director at the Wharton School, served on the advisory Board to the CEO and Chairman of AXA, and for a decade he served as Chairman of the OECD Board on Financial Management of Catastrophes.

A French-American dual citizen, he was recognized by the World Economic Forum as one of the world’s most remarkable leaders under the age of 40, is a founding member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Risks Initiative, and has been a regular speaker in Davos.

Award-winning author of seven books, he has published over 100 research publications; his work has also appeared in leading media outlets.
