Evan Sekeris is Senior Vice President and Senior Economist at the Bank Policy Institute, where he leads research on bank capital, stress testing, financial stability, and regulatory policy. His career spans banking, consulting, and central banking, giving him a unique perspective on how risk is measured, managed, and regulated.
Before joining BPI, Evan held senior leadership roles at Capital One, MUFG, PNC, Oliver Wyman, and the Federal Reserve. Across these roles, he helped shape approaches to stress testing, enterprise and nonfinancial risk management, model risk, and regulatory oversight. His work combines rigorous economic analysis with extensive practical experience and has been published in academic journals and industry volumes.
Evan holds a Ph.D. in Economics from UCLA and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from UCLouvain in Belgium.
