Fabio Salis, 49, a graduate of Economics and Business from the University of Pavia, has gained significant experience in the banking sector, working since 2002 at major Italian banks in risk management areas. He has also been personally responsible for the development and validation activities of A-IRB models, authorized by Regulators for capital requirements calculation. He was also author of numerous publications in the field of development and validation of risk models (i.e. EBA Staff paper, Bancaria Editor, AIFIRM magazine). Since 2015, he has been a visiting lecturer on the Credit Risk Management course at Bocconi University in Milan. He currently holds the role of Chief Risk Officer of Banco Desio Group.
