Giulio Mignola leads the Enterprise, Credit, and Operational Risk Management teams at Intesa Sanpaolo. His responsibilities include defining Risk Appetite, Credit Risk Management (including Pillar 1 model development), and Operational, Cyber, and ICT risks, as well as reputational and ESG risks. He is also responsible for economic capital, integrated risk reporting, stress testing, and risk culture. Giulio was a founding member of ORX, the world’s leading association for Operational Risk in the financial industry, where he served as Chairman of the Board from 2009 to 2014 and remains actively involved in its executive board.
Giulio Mignola is a regular lecturer for the Collegio Carlo Alberto Master’s program in Finance, Insurance, and Risk Management, as well as for the Executive Master in Finance at SDA Bocconi. Before joining Intesa Sanpaolo, he spent two years as a researcher at CERN in Geneva and one year at the LAPP in Annecy.
Giulio holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics and a degree in Physics from the University of Turin. He also recently completed the Corporate Affairs & Reputation Academy at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
