Godefroy co-leads the CGIAR Hub for Sustainable Finance, bringing nearly 15 years of expertise in sustainable finance focused on food systems, climate-smart agriculture, and carbon markets. He advises investors on designing and implementing science-based strategies for impactful and sustainable investments. Godefroy co-led the development of the first science-backed climate-smart food system fund with responsAbility AG and introduced innovative risk management solutions tailored for the banking sector. He has led programs in 25 countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, collaborating with clients such as the World Bank, ADB, and the Gates Foundation. Previously, he held positions at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and GIZ. Godefroy holds a PhD in Climate Policy and a Master of Public Administration from the London School of Economics (LSE).
