Hemant Julka brings 36 years of banking and technology leadership in the Gulf, including as former Group Head of Digital Innovation at Emirates NBD, one of the region's largest banking groups.
In July 2026 he submitted a formal response to the Financial Stability Board's consultation on responsible AI adoption, with an accompanying working paper - "From Model Validation to Agentic Assurance" - proposing that regulation follow the authority delegated to AI systems rather than technology labels. His current work spans AI governance engagements with regulators and financial institutions across the GCC. He is a certified information systems auditor (CISA), holds CGEIT and CRISC credentials, and completed Cornell's Chief AI Officer programme.
