Jacob Palmer is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Insurance practice. He leads the Commercial insurance and Reinsurance team for London, Amsterdam, and Brussels.
Jacob works with commercial and life (re)insurers on strategy, finance and risk, underwriting excellence, value creation, and digital transformation topics. He has worked extensively with Lloyd’s of London and London Market participants, in addition to supporting leading global and European (re)insurers, brokers, and insurance software providers.
Before rejoining BCG in 2022, Jacob was the Strategy Director for Reinsurance for Swiss Re, Consulting Director for CyberCube (a leading cyber insurance SaaS provider) and an actuary. His first stint at BCG was from 2016 to 2020. Jacob is an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries (AIA) and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA).
