Javier is a Partner in the Paris Office, and a core member of our Financial Institutions Groups European leadership team He co-leads the Financial Institutions Group in France, specializing in retail and affluent banking, and has an extensive experience with the Banking industry in France and Spain At European level, Javier co-leads our Digital Growth in Banking Service Line within the European Banking Practice.

Education and previous experience

Javier holds an MBA from Columbia Business School of New York and an Engineering degree from l’École Centrale Paris and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Spain. He also holds a Master of Science in Fundamental Physics from the Université de Paris-Orsay XI and a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the European Nuclear Education Network.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Javier worked as a Researcher at Comissariat à l’Énergie Atomique in the design of the next generation European fusion reactor. Before that, he worked at Sagem within the Safran Group and collaborated with Electricité de France as a researcher
