Dr. Johannes Voit is Director Emeritus at the German Savings Banks Association (DSGV) and was its Head of Sustainability Management. In this role, he was responsible for the entire spectrum of activities in economic and regulatory management of sustainability for the Savings Banks Finance Group (Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe) in Germany. Before, he held the position of Head of Management Procedures which included work on a wide array of qualitative and quantitative aspects of risk management. He joined DSGV after a highly successful career in science where his research and teaching was centered both on theoretical condensed matter physics and the application of statistical physics to financial markets.

Johannes Voit quit DSGV in July 2025. Asides enjoying retirement, he works both as keynote and expert speaker and coach on a wide range of topics in sustainability, risk management, regulation, resilience, and decision making, and offers advisory services in these areas.
