Juan López-Rubio is a Security Architect and Strategic Advisor specialized in secure systems design for financial services. He has over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity, digital transformation, and enterprise architecture — including deep technical reviews of core banking platforms to validate transactional integrity, data protection, cryptographic controls, and operational resilience.

His expertise spans secure architecture design, identity and access governance, data flow segregation, and advanced cryptographic control models. He has led assessments and transition strategies for modern and post-quantum cryptography, helping organizations define hybrid crypto roadmaps and architect solutions ready to operate safely in mixed classical / post-quantum environments.

As a trusted advisor to private equity funds, banks, and multinational corporations, he focuses on aligning cybersecurity architecture with enterprise value protection, regulatory expectations, and risk appetite. Previously he held leadership roles at EY Technology Consulting, CA Technologies and BBVA group. He is also a lecturer at IE and EAE on cybersecurity strategy, cryptography, and digital resilience.
