Luca Ravazzolo currently leads Financial Lines in EMEA and serves as the Global Head Financial Institutions Underwriting at Zurich Insurance Company. He joined Zurich in 2005 and initially served as the Financial Lines Manager for Switzerland until 2010. Subsequently, he moved to the EMEA underwriting leadership team as Head of Financial Institutions (FI). In 2012, he transitioned to the global Specialties Underwriting team as the Global Head of Financial Institutions, a role he held until 2015. From 2016 to the end of 2020, Luca served as the Global CUO Financial Lines, first within General Insurance and later in Commercial Insurance. Since 2021, Luca has held shared responsibilities, overseeing Financial Institutions at the Group level, as well as Financial Lines and Cyber business at the regional EMEA level.

Mr. Ravazzolo began his professional career in 1996 at Willis Coroon in London. In 1999, he moved to Switzerland to manage the international business of a major local insurance broker and Lloyd’s cover-holder until 2001, when he joined AIG in Switzerland to lead the commercial management liability portfolio until March 2005.

Luca Ravazzolo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ca' Foscari University in Venice, Italy, and has earned several postgraduate insurance and business management accreditations. His career spans over two decades, marked by significant leadership roles and expertise in financial lines and underwriting across Europe and globally.
