Miles is the Global partnering lead for Risk Management and Anti Financial Crime at SAS. Miles has been with SAS for 5 years where before taking on his latest role was the Risk Management Advisory lead for Europe, Middle East & Africa. Although only joining SAS 5 years ago, Miles’ experience of SAS started over 30 years ago when he first had the opportunity to use SAS as a Statistician working for Astra Zeneca. Miles has spent the majority of his career dedicated to Financial Services and has over 25 years of experience spanning the 1st, 2nd and 3rd lines of defence, acquired through serving multiple Banking Groups, across both UK and International jurisdictions. Relevant for this session topic, Miles has previously held roles including for example Head of Modelling, Head of Decisioning and Head of Impairment Provisioning, has led transformation programmes relating to the determination of Impairment Provisioning and Risk Weighted Assets and led the Climate Risk working group within SAS.
