Profile

For the past four years, Mohammad has served as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for Qatar International Islamic Bank. Prior to this role, he spent fourteen years as the CRO for Jordan Kuwait Bank (a member of the KIPCO Group), and he also acted as Compliance Manager on multiple occasions.

Mohammad has extensive experience in the banking sector, having worked for ten years in various roles that covered Credit, Operations, Audit, Finance, Strategic Planning, Total Quality Management, and Corporate Governance. As the current CRO for Qatar International Islamic Bank, Mohammad is responsible for managing several risks facing the bank, including Credit, Market, Operational, Cyber Security, Climate Change Risk, and Service Quality

Outside of his role at the Bank, Mohammad has served as a Board member in a Leasing company, and he is a Founding Board Member of the Risk Management Professional Forum (Jordan). He is also a speaker at many local and international conferences and has authored numerous articles on banking. He was a member of the working groups formed by the Central Bank of Jordan to implement Basel II at the level of the banking sector in Jordan. Additionally, he is a member of several international Committees specialized in Risk and Sustainability.

Mohammad holds a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance and has completed the Executive Program in Management at Columbia University.
