Profile
Periklis’ experience transcends finance, risk, technology and strategy for financial institutions (banks and insurance firms) across Europe, North America and Africa. A frequent contributor to international research projects, conferences and publications, Periklis brings together hands-on financial expertise alongside a sharp take on new technologies such as blockchain, machine learning and other ‘fintech’ related innovations and gimmicks.
Periklis has a Masters degree from the London School of Economics and a Doctorate in Finance from IE Business School. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a holder of the Bank Treasury Risk Management (BTRM) accreditation, where he is also teaching faculty.
He is the founder of two successful firms in financial services consulting, and of two (less successful) firms in retail and tourism. He is also the CFO of a dynamic fintech startup focusing on renewable energy. Periklis is an adjunct professor at the University of Nicosia and the University of Cape Town.
