Peter Taylor is the Group Chief Risk Officer (Group CRO) at Insurance Australia Group (IAG), Australia’s largest general insurer. In this role, he oversees the Group’s risk management strategy and operations. With over 30 years of experience across the UK, Zimbabwe, Australia, and New Zealand, Peter brings a wealth of expertise to IAG.

Prior to joining IAG, Peter held senior risk management positions at Westpac and Commonwealth Bank, two of Australia’s leading retail banks. His extensive background includes expertise in risk management frameworks, operational risk capital management, corporate insurance, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, Peter has served as a board director for wealth management and private banking entities and was a founding partner of a financial services group in Zimbabwe.
