Relja Zambelic is a climate risk and sustainable finance specialist with over 12 years of experience advising financial institutions across developed and emerging markets.He works with commercial banks, central banks and development finance institutions on integrating climate considerations into risk management and strategy. His experience covers climate risk materiality assessment, scenario analysis and stress testing, financed emissions, portfolio alignment, climate transition planning and sustainable finance frameworks.

Relja has led and supported engagements across Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Africa, MENA and other emerging markets, helping financial institutions translate evolving regulatory and market expectations into practical risk management and business approaches.

He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering and an MSc in Renewable Energy Management and is a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance.
