Richard joined Fidelity International in 2017 and has held a range of senior roles across Risk Management, including Global Head of Non-Financial Risk, Global Head of Risk Strategic Initiatives, and Head of First Line Risk for the UK & EMEA. These roles have given him deep, hands-on experience in designing and applying risk management frameworks across Fidelity’s core business lines. In September 2025, Richard was appointed Global Chief Risk Officer, responsible for the oversight and governance of all aspects of risk across the organisation. Prior to joining Fidelity, he held global risk and control roles at Deutsche Bank. A former British Army officer with operational tours in Afghanistan, Richard brings a combination of strategic leadership, practical risk expertise, and technical capability. He holds a Master’s degree in Risk, Resilience, and Crisis Management from the University of Portsmouth.
