Simona has substantial experience in Risk and Audit disciplines in FTSE 100, FTSE 250 challenger and digital start-up banks as well as regulatory family and Fintech. She worked in all three ‘lines of defence’ in a wide range of roles including operations, marketing, change management, operational and enterprise risk, and internal audit.
Simona worked internationally with exposure primarily in Europe and the USA although covered global roles and is passionate about delivering change from strategic definition to full implementation, making risk accessible and driving positive change.
Simona is Member of the Finance and Investment Committee and former Vice-Chair of the Professional Standards Committee at the Institute of Risk Management (IRM). Over the year she has been Involved in a variety of projects with the IRM including examining for the International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management; writing exam questions for the International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management and the International Certificate in Financial Services Risk Management; contributing to writing the Professional Standards in Risk Management and leading its first review.
Furthermore, Simona worked with the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland as an examiner for the Boardroom Dynamics module and is currently a member of the review panel for the Risk Management module exam papers of their Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme.
