Stephan Wiehler is a Managing Director at UBS in the Global Risk Control division, based in Zurich. He leads the Firm Wide Stress Testing Models team, overseeing Stress Testing and Economic Capital across the bank’s major risk themes.

Previously, Stephan held roles at Credit Suisse, where he managed AIRB, Stress Testing, IFRS9/USGAAP CECL, and Divisional Risk Appetite.

Stephan earned his doctoral degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen. Before transitioning to the banking sector, he worked in public policy consulting for the ministries of labor in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.
