Stephen Gould leads our Future of Risk and Compliance offering in the UK. He is also our lead UK advisory partner for CRO, Risk and Regulation for Insurance and for Risk Culture across Financial Services (Banking, Capital Markets, and Insurers). He has 22+ years' experience in Financial Services, focusing on higher performing CRO/risk functions of the future, risk innovation and target operating models, enterprise risk frameworks, risk governance, and evolving risk intelligent cultures. This includes a 14 months (Oct 22 to Dec 23) secondment as the Group CRO/SMF7 and Group Executive Committee (ExCo) member for a FTSE Top 30 large international Financial Institution. Stephen reported direct to the Group CEO, provided an active voice for Risk at Group ExCo, Chaired the Group Risk ExCo and member of the Group Asset and Liability Committee, and led his Risk Leadership team of market/entity CROs and Directors of Risk, and the groupwide Risk function of circa 435 people.

Stephen leads our most high profile and complex engagements in Risk Management Innovation in Financial Services, and is a member of the UK Insurance Executive Committee. He brings strong insight into the regulatory and industry challenges associated with optimising CRO/Risk functions and capabilities, designing and embedding practical approaches for managing risk and controls, and enhancing risk cultures.
