Steven is a partner who co-leads KPMG’s Financial Risk and Resilience team. He has over 28 years’ experience of Assurance, Risk and Regulatory advisory work within KPMG delivering advisory projects for retail, commercial and wholesale banks relating to Basel 2, 3 and 4, credit risk model development and validation, stress testing and IFRS9 implementation, risk transformation and model risk management in the UK, Europe and overseas. He leads KPMG UK’s prudential regulatory capital work, co-led KPMG UK’s IFRS9 provisioning proposition and is involved in the firm’s model risk management and risk governance work as well as having acted as Skilled Person/concurring partner for over 20 regulatory S166 exercises. Steven is a Chartered Accountant, a CFA charterholder, a Chartered Management Consultant, and has a BA/MSci in Theoretical Physics from Cambridge University and E-MBA from the ENPC in Paris.
