Trushna is Head of Risk Management for Capitec's Business Banking division, overseeing enterprise risk for Southern Africa's largest bank by client numbers. She drives risk governance and compliance across a mission-critical growth engine supporting SMEs and businesses throughout South Africa.

A Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with a Bachelor's Degree in Investment Management, Trushna brings 15+ years of banking experience spanning product management, distribution channels, and enterprise risk functions across financial services.

She previously held senior risk leadership roles at First National Bank (FNB), including Head of Risk for FNB’s Wealth and Investments and Financial Advisory business where she led the transformation of high-risk business environments, strengthening governance, enhancing resilience, and enabling sustainable growth. At FNB, she established and led a dedicated Centre of Excellence focused on transforming the delivery of financial advice, successfully embedding robust risk management and regulatory compliance standards while enhancing client outcomes.

At Capitec, Trushna positions risk as a strategic enabler of sustainable business growth, embedding risk management across every part of the Business Banking operation.
