Valeriu Bajenaru is Global Head of Enterprise Risk Management and Deputy CRO SC Bank, where he leads the development of enterprise-wide risk frameworks and supports the bank’s strategic risk agenda. Prior to this, he held senior leadership roles at Bank of America and Credit Suisse, where he drove large-scale risk transformation initiatives and strengthened group-wide risk management capabilities. Valeriu has also held senior positions at Santander UK, GE Capital, and RBS, consistently delivering operational excellence and strategic impact across complex, international businesses. Prior to his banking career, he worked in management consulting, advising global financial institutions on risk, regulation, and transformation. Valeriu holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
