Vicki is one of the UK’s leading voices in operational risk, bringing more than 20 years of experience advising and leading complex risk programmes across the public and private sectors. Her career spans organisations including the Ministry of Defence, the Metropolitan Police, Accenture and the Bank of England, where she has shaped enterprise-wide risk strategies, defined risk appetite frameworks and overseen systemic risk through significant transformation initiatives in critical national infrastructure.

Renowned for her ability to translate complex risk challenges into compelling, actionable narratives, Vicki is a passionate advocate for building high-performing risk cultures that are deeply embedded across organisations. She believes that effective risk management is not just about frameworks and controls, but about influencing decisions, behaviours and outcomes at every level.

Beyond her corporate leadership, Vicki is the founder of a pioneering charitable consortium that unites more than 50 major organisations to deliver high-impact social change. As Chair of the Board of Trustees, she transformed the initiative from concept to nationally recognised organisation, securing funding, mobilising founding members, launching flagship programmes and representing the consortium on the National Police Chiefs’ Council Steering Committee. Under her leadership, the consortium has grown into a respected organisation with expanding international reach and influence.

As Head of Operational Risk at Lloyd’s, Vicki leads the Corporation’s operational risk function, providing independent second-line oversight across a strategically critical and highly diverse portfolio. Her remit encompasses cyber, transformation, artificial intelligence, people and culture risks, resilience, and the evolving threat landscape. Operating at the intersection of innovation, governance and strategic decision-making, she is helping shape how one of the world’s most important insurance markets navigates risk in an era of unprecedented change.
