William is responsible for leading, developing, and setting the global direction for Novo Holdings Risk & Compliance function, ensuring that it aligns seamlessly with Novo Holdings' strategic objectives and priorities.
Prior to joining Novo Holdings, William served as the Head of Risk for SEB Denmark since 2016, where he was responsible for enhancing their risk framework and fostering a robust risk management culture. His contributions have been key in several significant risk-related projects, including the bank’s stress testing and capital adequacy programs. His earlier career includes roles at both buy- and sell-side experience. He has worked as a trader at a large hedge fund and as a quantitative analyst at a tier-1 investment bank. Throughout his career, he has focused on enhancing financial modelling and analytics to improve risk management and market awareness.
William holds a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE) and an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Copenhagen. He has also completed courses at IMD Lausanne in Inspirational Leadership and Venture Capital Asset Management.
