William Cooper

Former Head of Risk & Compliance at Novo Holdings

William Cooper is a senior risk and investment professional with more than 20 years of experience across asset management, banking and financial markets. Most recently, he was Head of Risk & Compliance at Novo Holdings, where he led the development of the organisation’s global risk framework and function.

Previously, William was Head of Risk for SEB Denmark, with responsibility for risk management across the bank’s Danish activities. Earlier in his career, he worked on both the buy and sell sides, including as a trader at a major hedge fund and as a quantitative analyst at a global investment bank.

William holds a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from the London School of Economics and an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Copenhagen. He has also completed executive programmes at IMD in leadership and venture capital asset management.
