Luca moved to Saudi Arabia to pursue his MSc in High Perdormance Computing and in 2018 receive his PhD in Earth Science and Engineering for his work in ground motion simulation for seismic hazard. During his time at KAUST he turned his drone hobby into the FalconViz startup, a company focused on digitising physical assets. At FalconViz he currently covers the roles General Manager and Chief Technology Officer, with the most exciting part of his time devoted to solving technological challenges in the acquisition and processing of geospatial data, with emphasis on photogrammetry and UAVs. Today FalconViz provides a wide range of services to companies and institutions in the Kingdom and beyond, including topographical surveys, mining and aggregate assessments, and flood modeling and analysis, among other things
