J. Peter WhatmoreSenior Vice President Southwestern Ontario at CBRESpeaker
Profile
Forty-five years of dedication to clients and passion for commercial real estate have given me a unique perspective that achieves results. My experience with all property types in Southwestern Ontario combined with my North American manufacturing + special properties expertise allow me to solve problems and enhance business performance using industry leading real estate strategies.
I advocate for landlords and tenants with the highest ethical standards in lease arbitrations, expert witness testimony, before property tax authorities and the courts. I have earned the trust of industry leading clients, including Dow Chemical, TD Canada Trust, Diocese of London, Rosati Group of companies, and the City of London, to name a few.
I lead CBRE’s Manufacturing + Special Properties Group, which consists of multi-disciplinary brokers serving tertiary markets across the U.S. and Canada. I’m also an active industry advocate, having served on real estate association boards locally, provincially and nationally, while leading the Board of SIOR and its Foundation internationally.
Leverage my multidisciplinary experience, track record for success and familiarity with CBRE’s global platform to achieve outstanding results from your real estate.
My career with CBRE started in 1979 as a Manager of Canada Trust Commercial, which became CBRE Southwestern Ontario. During my 40-year tenure, I had market responsibility for our 3 offices in this market. Today I work closely with key clients and focus on client development for our teams.
In the community, I have served two terms as President of St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation, served on the Board and chaired St. John Ambulance, and am currently a Board member of London Community Foundation, and Board member of Western Fair District, where I secure as Vice Chair.
