Richard Sifton is President and CEO and a director of Sifton Properties Limited. Sifton is a privately held, real estate and land development company servicing Southwestern Ontario and Mississauga. Since its beginnings in 1923 as a home builder, Sifton has earned an enviable reputation for exceptional quality and outstanding customer service. Their mission is to create outstanding customer experiences by building unique communities to live, work, and play. The spirit of innovation that shaped the corporation in its earlier years continues to keep it at the forefront of today’s construction industry. Today, Sifton has diversified into neighbourhood development, commercial construction and leasing, residential rental accommodation, seniors’ retirement lifestyle communities and accommodation, and property management.

With over 700 employees, Sifton continues to grow and expand conservatively. For over 100 years, Sifton has been transforming the fabric of London. As a third-generation family member, Richard has been associated with the Company most of his life. Richard has been formally employed with Sifton Properties Limited for 35 years, 15 years of which was spent working through its 5 areas of business, and the last 20 years as President & CEO. He has served on many community-based committees and boards, and is currently a representative for such organizations as the London Development Institute and the Family Enterprise Xchange.

Richard has been married to his lovely wife Sandy for 31 years and they have two wonderful children.
