Boris studied Business Administration at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany. He began his professional career at HypoVereinsbank in Munich, where he worked as an analyst in Acquisition and Leveraged Finance. Subsequently, and prior to joining Aquila Capital in 2009, he served as a Product Manager at two Hamburg-based closed-end fund companies, managing Real Estate and Renewables Funds.

At Aquila, Boris established the PV business and structured funds for private and later institutional investors. He eventually became Head of Wind and Solar. In 2014, he focused on the PV business in Japan, Australia, and Taiwan, and was appointed Head of Infrastructure APAC.

In 2020, he left Aquila to manage a private equity company investing in Japanese and Taiwanese PV assets. In 2023, Boris joined GOLDBECK SOLAR as Managing Director of GOLDBECK SOLAR Investment (GSI). GSI is an investment company responsible for development, structuring and financing, asset management, and M&A activities within the GOLDBECK SOLAR Group.
